University of Delhi Life Sciences Project Fellow Vacancy
University of Delhi South Campus invites applications from eligible candidates for Life Sciences Project Fellow/ Research Student vacancy in the UGC-DAE funded CSR project entitled “Understanding the structure of Leishmania major PPTase and its interaction with cognate ACP” under the supervision of Prof. Suman Kundu, Department of Biochemistry, University of Delhi South Campus, Benito Juarez Road, New Delhi-110021.
Position title: Project Fellow/ Research Student

Fellowship: 14000/- pm + 30% HRA.
Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in any branch of life sciences with a minimum of 55% marks.
Desirable Qualification: Experience in working with proteins from Leishmania or other infectious agents or with proteins towards structural understanding, structure-function relationship, stability etc. Knowledge of spectroscopic techniques, drug discovery methods, X-ray crystallography and animal handling methods are a bonus.
How to apply: Complete application on plain paper along with copies of certificates and evidence of essential qualification should reach the undersigned before 21st August 2019. Candidates meeting the required criteria will be called for an interview but no TA/DA will be paid.
- The project is sanctioned presently for one year but it may be extended on year basis subject to a total period of 2 years.
- Student appointed under the project are expected to spend 3-6 months working on a specific X-ray beam line at the Indus synchrotron source in RRCAT, Indore.
- It is to be noted that the post is purely temporary and will terminate automatically without any notice or compensation on termination of the research scheme.
