Job Title: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Project Title: Characterization and validation of tyrosine aminotransferase from Leishmania donovani as a potential drug target
Age Limit: Up to 28 years
Tenure of the project: 3 Years
First class in M. Sc. (Biochemistry / Biotechnology) B.E/ B.Tech/ or Equivalent degree in Biotechnology/Industrial Biotechnology/ Biochemical Engineering/ Biomedical Engineering OR First class in ME/M.Tech/MS in Biotechnology/Industrial Biotechnology/ Biochemical Engineering/ Biomedical Engineering/Computational Biology/Biopharmaceutical technology
In the case of SC/ST candidates, the eligibility criteria is Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 6.0 on a 10 point scale grading system, or not less than 55% marks in aggregate. 4. Candidates with GATE / NET scores will be preferred.
Desired qualifications: Prior knowledge/experience in Molecular biology techniques, Protein expression/Purification/ cell culture.
Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/- pm for first 2 years and 35,000/- pm for the third year. HRA as per institute rules. The selected candidate is also eligible for on-campus Hostel & Mess facilities at their own expenses.
Job Requirements: The selected candidates need to work for the progress of the project by performing experiments in Cell culture, Molecular cloning, Gel electrophoresis, Protein purification, etc. and Preparation of research reports.
