Applications are invited from eligible interested candidates for the post of Postdoctoral Fellow/ Project Assistants under UNEP, Geneva and MOEF&CC, New Delhi Sponsored Projects. As per the CSIR-NEERI guidelines, details of requirements like qualification, age, stipend, etc are given below:
Name of Post: Post-Doctoral Fellow

Age: Below 40 yrs.
Fellowship / Remuneration: Rs. 54000/- + 16% HRA and Medical Facility
Prescribed Educational Qualification: Ph. D. in Chemistry / Environmental Science or any discipline of Life Sciences with three years of experience with minimum one SCI publication. Research experience related to the Hazardous chemicals/ Persistent Organic Pollutants would be preferred.
Job Requirement: Technical inputs needed for matters related to POPs and Stockholm Convention negotiations and framing up country’s take on various issues. Collection of Samples from Environmental matrix (POPs) and analysis Field visits, data collection, data compilation, Report writing.
Name of Post: Project Assistant Level- III

Age: 35 yrs
Fellowship / Remuneration: 28,000/- per month
Prescribed Educational Qualification:M.Sc. in Chemistry/ Environmental Science / Agriculture/ Soil Science/ Microbiology OR B.E. /B. Tech. (Chemical/ Environmental Engineering)/ with Minimum 55% marks and two years of experience. Research experience related to the Hazardous chemicals/ Persistent Organic Pollutants would be preferred.
Job Requirement: Soil &Water sample collection and quality analysis, Field visits, data collection, sample analysis, data compilation.
*Medical facility subjected to medical claim on a reimbursement basis as per the actual within the limit.
#Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Women.
The engagement is purely on a temporary basis under the externally funded sponsored projects (sponsored by UNEP, Geneva and MoEF&CC, New Delhi) undertaken by CSIR-NEERI which may be extended or curtailed depending on the status/ duration of the sponsored project/satisfactory performance/conduct of the Project Staff. It is a placement under the sponsored project and will be co-terminus with the project duration under any circumstance.
Maximum duration in one project or in different projects taken together in CSIR shall not be more than five years in any case.
The engagement shall not be an appointment in CSIR-NEERI, temporary or otherwise. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim, implicit or explicit, on the part of the candidates for regularization/absorption against any post in NEERI/CSIR or under any other scheme of CSIR.
The candidate should, therefore, mention in the application all the qualifications and experience in the relevant area over and above the minimum prescribed qualification, supported with documents and ensure that all details are complete and accurate.
In case candidates are called for the interview, candidates have to bring printed (duly signed by Candidate) application form supported by self-attested copies of the document in support of date of birth, educational qualifications and experience etc. (to be brought at the time of interview only, along with original certificates for verification).

No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview. No Separate interview call letter will be issued. Candidates who do not fulfill the prescribed educational qualification will not be interviewed.
