Junior Research Fellow Vacancy @ Sikkim University
Applications are invited for the following purely temporary project-based positions. Candidates having appropriate qualifications in relevant subject/specialization with consistently good academic record and experience may apply as mentioned below.
Title of the project: “Himalayan Research Fellowship -2017–18”, funded by National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NMHS), MoEF&CC, Govt. of India [GBPNI/NMHS-2017-18/HSF -07].
Position Name: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
No of Positions: 01
Qualifications: Master Degree in Horticulture/ Agriculture/ Botany/ Life Science with ASRB-NET/ CSIR- NET*/GATE, etc.
Desirable: Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in microbiology/ molecular biology/ organic farming, strong interest and background in field surveying.
Title of the work: Documentation and validation of indigenous Knowledge-based agronomic practice for growth promotion and diseases management in organic farming in Sikkim state.
*Non-NET candidates may apply and if selected, will be considered as Junior Project Fellow (JPF) and fellowship will be as per the norms of MoEF&CC, Govt. of India
Duration: The duration of the project is 6 months, and may be extended depending on performance review.
Candidate with adequate qualifications and appropriate experience in relevant subject/specialization with good academic records may appear for Walk-In-Interview on 06.05.2019 at 10-30 AM onwards at Department of Horticulture, Sikkim University, 6th Mile, Tadong, Gangtok.
