About the project:
Project: Probing the role of extracellular matrix stiffness on exosome secretion, and its influence on cancer invasion.
The focus of this project is to probe the role of extracellular matrix stiffness in modulating exosome secretion, exosome composition, and the effect of these exosomes vis-a-vis cancer progression and cancer invasion.
Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow: (1 Post)
Job Profile: The candidate will fabricate hydrogels, assist in cell culture, exosome isolation and characterization, data analysis, and also assist in routine lab duties.
Essential qualification and experience:
Postgraduate degree (MSc) with 70% marks in Life-sciences, Biotechnology, Zoology or related field from a recognized university.
Candidate must have minimum 6 months work experience with the knowledge of cell culture techniques and immunological techniques. Candidates with previous experience in exosome isolation and characterization would be preferred.
*MSc degree having the duration of one-year course would not be considered.
Consolidated salary: Rs 18000 to 25000/- (depending upon qualification and experience) + 30% HRA per month.
Mode of selection: Written test and/or interview
The positions are temporary initially for a period of one year and tenable only for the duration of the project. The selection committee may offer lower or higher designation and lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in the interview.
