Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Junior Research Fellow in a DBT- funded research project entitled Helicobacter pylori infection in Sikkim and possible use of probiotics isolated from ethnic fermented foods of Sikkim against H.Pylori in the Laboratory of Dr. Santanu Chattapadhyay at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, BIC Campus, KINRFA Film & Video Park, Kazhakuttom, Thiruvananthapuram.

|Emoluments per month||Rs. 25,000 + 16% HRA per month for M.Sc. Degree holders who have qualified NET (with valid certificate) or Post Graduates in Professional Degree courses. M.Sc. degree holders who do not have NET/GATE certification will be eligible for Rs. 12,000/- + 16% HRA per month.|
|Duration of Appointment||Three years or till the termination of the project whichever is earlier.|
|Essential Qualification||The candidates must have a good academic record with first class Master’s Degree in Life Sciences/ Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Botany / Zoology. The candidate should also have good communication skills.|
Below 28 years as on 23rd July 2018. Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.

Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co-terminus with the end of the project. Only those fulfilling the above criteria need to apply and will be called for interview. In the event of more than 10 candidates being short-listed by screening the applications, a written test will be conducted before the selection interview and only those who are successful in the written test will be interviewed.
No TA/DA/Other emoluments will be given for appearing in the written test/interview.
