Walk-in-interview for the position of Project Assistant
A walk-in-interview will be held for the position of Project Assistant (2 nos) to work in a Department of Science and Technology, Government of India funded project titled “Assessment on niche specific oxygenic photoautotrophic organisms for evaluation of Bhagirathi-Hooghly River basin water quality: abiotic index-based management proposal”.
The project aims to develop a robust scientific framework using novel approaches for water quality index with respect to anthropogenic pollution in the Bhagirathi-Hooghly River basin. The project position will be initially for a period of one year but can be extended by another two years subject to satisfactory performance.
Highly motivated candidates with M.Sc. in Life Sciences/Botany/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Environmental Sciences with a minimum of 55% marks can apply for the position of Project Assistant. Ability to design and conduct fieldwork activities along with evidence of research aptitude is highly desirable. The salary will be Rs 22,000/- per month (consolidated) as per the rules.
