Project Assistant Position
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Project Assistant in a DBT (Ramalingaswami Fellowship) funded project entitled “Regulation of ETS fusion transcription factors in refractory prostate cancer model” of Dr. Nirmalya Sen at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram.

- Candidates with Master’s Degree in any field of Biology are eligible to apply. Applicants should have a minimum of 65% marks in MSc.
- Experience in laboratory-based cell culture, animal handling/experiments and basic molecular biology techniques.
- At least one project during MSc that includes the above-mentioned experiences.
- One letter of reference from college/university supervisor, if selected for the post.
NET/GATE qualification is preferred.
Two years or until the termination of the project whichever is earlier. The initial appointment will be for one year and further extension will be given up to 2 years based on performance.
Only those fulfilling the above criteria need to apply and will be called for interview. In the event of more than 10 candidates being short-listed by screening the applications, a written test will be conducted before the selection interview and only those who are successful in the written test will be interviewed. No TA/ DA will be given for appearing in the interview.

Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co-terminus with the end of the project.
