DBT – BIOTECH INDUSTRIAL TRAINING PROGRAMME (BITP) 2018-19
Department of Biotechnology (DBT) invites applications from biotech students for hands-on training in biotech companies for a period of six Months and requisitions from the biotech companies for providing training. The programme provides an excellent opportunity to biotech students to acquire practical skills and experience working on projects alongside industry experts as well as an opportunity to industry to identify potential employees.
During the training, a stipend of Rs.10,000/- per month will be paid to trainees and bench fee will be paid to companies to cover expenses towards training, The programme will be implemented by Biotech Consortium India.
Attention Biotech Industry
Biotech companies interested to provide hands-on industrial training to the students of Biotechnology under BITP may apply online. Trainees will be provided to companies subject to availability.
Attention Biotechnology Students
Biotech students interested in training in biotech companies may apply online latest by May 21, 2018. B.E /B.Tech /M.Sc /M.Tech /M.V.Sc./MBA in Biotechnology from Indian recognized universities with minimum 50% marks or equivalent grade completed in the year 2017 or 2018 are eligible to apply. Candidates will be selected based on online test followed by an interview. The online test would be conducted at centers across the country. Procedure for Application
The following documents are to be sent to Mr. Manoj Gupta Manager. Biotech Consortium India, 5th-floor Anuvrat Bhavan, 210, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg, New Delhi-110002 by speed post/courier:
a) A demand draft of Rs. 500/- towards non-refundable application fee as per the details on www.bcil.nic.in/bitp2018/index.asp. Please write your application id, name, date of birth and mobile no. on the reverse side of the demand draft
b) Hard copy of the system generated acknowledgment and application form submitted online.
c) Self-attested copy of final marksheet a the qualifying examination showing the cumulative percentage of marks or equivalent CGPA. For students appearing in the final examination In 2018, filled and signed certificate from Head of the Department on college/university letterhead in the format available on BCIL website.
